Most Russians are ready to save on clothing and food, but not on alcohol

According to a NielsenIQ survey, in the third quarter, the main item of savings for consumers in Russia was the purchase of clothes - this was confirmed by more than 70% of respondents. Another 66% now save on entertainment outside the home, and 65% on food in catering. About these results writes RBC.
The entire top 10 savings items for Russians:
- Buying clothes - 71%
- Entertainment outside the home - 66%
- Dining out - 65%
- Replacing household items - 54%
- Annual leave - 52%
- Purchase of electronics - 50%
- Buying food to go and delivering ready meals - 49%
- Products of more expensive brands - 49%
- Entertainment at home - 37%
- Alcohol consumption - 36%
Few have decided to reduce their spending on alcohol consumption, but still the share of such respondents increased by 5 percentage points compared to the previous quarter (from 31 to 36%).
Analysts came to the conclusion that, in general, the Russians began to save more this year. In the third quarter of last year, the share of those who cut spending on clothes was 66% of those surveyed, 63% saved on entertainment outside the home, and 56% on eating out.
