5 key factors without which it is impossible to achieve the goal

A plan and discipline are not all that is needed for success.
On New Year's Eve, we make wishes and promise ourselves to do everything possible to make them come true. But motivation is usually enough for a few days, at best - weeks. By the end of January, we generally forget what we thought there. This is because we are missing five important elements.
1. Concentration
We often formulate our goals in very vague terms, such as "lose weightor lead a healthy lifestyle. But if the intention is devoid of specificity, the focus of attention is scattered and all attempts to achieve the desired are likely to end in failure.
Solving the problem is simple: reformulate your goal. For example, instead of "work out", plan to "do 50 push-ups a day" to make it easier to focus on specific activities.
You can also support yourself with a visual stimulus. For example, buy a dress or suit one size smaller and hang it in a conspicuous place. The thing will remind you of the goal and help you stay focused.
2. mindfulness
Many fail to achieve results because overestimate their capabilities and abilities and underestimate the obstacles they may encounter. To fully understand what you need to move towards the goal, you need to collect as much information as possible. Read books and articles, watch videos on the topic, talk to people who have already walked this path.
Ask questions and look for answers. This will spur the desire to fulfill your dreams and help you understand how ready you are to go to the goal.
3. Planning
Once you have clearly formulated your goal, move on to planning. Think about what actions will lead you to what you want. Your plan should be as specific as possible. Break it down into steps, include every challenge you can think of, and complete it with steps to take if you feel like giving up.
For example, your goal is to lose 10 pounds. Then you need to include in the plan how you will behave during family holidays. feasts and other food-related events. It also does not hurt to foresee how you will solve the issue of playing sports in case of terrible weather: will you train at home or still go to the gym? It is also useful to think about how your system will work during vacations or business trips.
Try to review your plan regularly and be flexible - change it if necessary.
4. Discipline
Even the best plan is useless if it is not backed up by action. And sometimes they are very hard to do.
You wake up one morning and you don't feel like going for a run at all. Force yourself to do it. During the day, you will see a delicious donut with berry filling in your favorite coffee shop. Feel free to pass by if eating donuts is not your plan.
Focus on the goal as much as possible and include in your life small daily habitsthat will push you on the way to it. Create rituals that will allow the brain to switch during dangerous moments when you want to quit. For example, start drinking coffee after your morning run. Gradually, the brain will get used to it and will begin to "send" you to run, in order to then get your portion of caffeine.
Rituals are a powerful tool of discipline. But it takes time to establish them. Spend it at the planning stage.
5. Wish
Even with discipline, it will be difficult to achieve a goal if you do not have a thirst for success. Many dream of triumph, but few achieve it.
Imagine that you already got what you wanted. Draw in your mind a portrait of yourself at the finish line. Imagine telling your grandchildren about own life. Find any suitable way to arouse in yourself an irresistible desire for success. This will strengthen your motivation and give you confidence that you can achieve any goal that you have set for yourself.
