Apple has officially announced the next generation 13-inch MacBook Air with 10th Gen Intel Core processors. The new Intel Iris Plus graphics card is up to 80% more powerful, making playing and working with heavy programs even more convenient.
The base model comes with an Intel Core i3 processor that can be overclocked to 3.2GHz with Turbo Boost. It is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The more expensive version uses an Intel Core i5 with a clock speed of 1.1 GHz. With Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz enabled, it runs twice as fast as last year's model. The RAM is also 8 GB, and the drive is twice as much, 512 GB.
This laptop has an improved Magic Keyboard, which has come to replace problematic Butterfly in 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019. Like the previous generation, the novelty received a Touch ID scanner built into the power button.
The 2020 MacBook Air features an improved Apple T2 security chip, which ensures that all data on the SSD is always encrypted. It also keeps Touch ID data secure. Like other Apple laptops, the new model comes with macOS Catalina and Office Suite (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) with free updates.
