Shawarma with caramelized beef and vegetables

Beef is fried in a mixture of soy sauce, lemon juice and sugar, so it gets a golden brown crust. Vegetables and sauce make the shawarma juicier.

Ingredients
- Beef 300 g
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. the spoon
- Onions ½ pieces
- Soy sauce 1 tbsp the spoon
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp the spoon
- Sugar 1 tsp the spoon
- Salt to taste
- Mayonnaise 3 tbsp spoons
- Ketchup 1 tbsp the spoon
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Cabbage 200 g
- Cucumber 1 piece
- Bulgarian pepper ½ piece
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
- Purple bow 1 piece
- Hot pepper ½ piece
- Parsley ½ bunch
- Lavash 3 sheets
Cooking method
Fry thinly sliced beef in a pan with heated oil. If the meat is tough, you can pour in a little water and simmer it under the lid.
When the beef is browned, add the chopped onion and continue cooking until it's translucent.
Then add soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar and salt. Stirring constantly, wait until the meat begins to caramelize, that is, become covered with a crust. Then remove the skillet from heat.
Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and minced garlic.
Chop the cabbage. Cut cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes and onions into pieces. Grind hot peppers. Chop the parsley.
Brush the pita bread with the prepared sauce, leaving the edges intact. Layer the meat, vegetables and herbs in layers.
Roll the shawarma and lightly fry on both sides in a dry skillet.
