Super Mario Bros. like a first person shooter

Game Designer Sean Noonan has provided an unusual take on the legendary Super Mario Bros. Its modification turns the first level of the game into a 3D first-person shooter - with excellent graphics and adapted locations. A demo video posted on Gman Lives shows that in terms of design and level of elaboration, this fan mod may well pass for an official game from Nintendo.

Since this is a shooter, the famous plumber does not pierce blocks with his head, but shoots plungers at them (and at opponents too). What is especially attractive here is that even the weapons are adapted for the cartoonish-childish style of Mario games and do not look dangerous or cruel. Project began as a quick rework for the competition, but the author decided to complete the work and make his mod available to everyone.

Just like the original first level, there is an underground area that you can climb down a pipe. The entire passage takes about 10 minutes (if you are playing for the first time), and that's all for now: the developer has not yet talked about creating a similar mod for other levels.
