Users of desktop operating systems have long remained out of work, because the popular WhatsApp messenger applications offered for any mobile platform, but not for Windows and Mac. Thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts situation has changed, and yesterday the release of unofficial WhatsMac client for OS X.
As a web-version of the messenger, WhatsMac broadcasts all the action from the mobile application. This is the root of the main problems of news: for WhatsMac to scan QR-code, what iOS-app simply does not know how. Out of this situation are two: to use the client in conjunction with the Android-smartphone or iPhone with jailbreak. Also, the smartphone must be online and therefore enabled.
Opportunities WhatsMac limited messaging and media content, which is sufficient for most situations. Identical advantages over browser-based analog of the two, and both of them are obvious. The presence notification, and no need to keep a tab open in your browser, constantly motivating alternative download client. In addition, Safari browsers, Firefox did not show the QR-code, so if you have not used Google Chrome, install WhatsMac gets another rationale.
Novelty can be downloaded free of charge in the respective GitHub-branch, and its installation does not differ from the standard procedure. The only caveat: make sure the checkbox is in the system settings item Security & Privacy → Allow apps downloaded from anywhere.
