The Lenovo laptops have found dangerous vulnerability

Researchers from the Pen Test Partners found dangerous vulnerability in the program Lenovo Solution Center, preloaded on a huge number of Lenovo laptops. Hackers could use the bug to gain access to the rights of the administrator and execute on a computer of any malicious code.

An attacker can write a fake system file and run it through the Lenovo Solution Center. So he gets in those areas of the system that are available only to administrators. Then the hacker will be able, for example, block or delete any data on the laptop.

Lenovo provides a program for all their laptops, issued from 2011 to November 2018. If the Lenovo Solution Center you have installed, then immediately delete it. As a replacement you can use lenovo Vantage or lenovo Diagnostics.
