Save your credit card! Major services for the travelers can see the screen of your iPhone

A number of popular applications to search for flights, hotels and other services can capture the action on the screen of your iPhone without your knowledge or consent, according to investigation TechCrunch. Typically, the company uses for this third-party technology - in this case, Glassbox.
Glassbox software records every action that you make in your application, as well as periodically makes screenshots. In some programs, the system can capture a field in which to enter passport information, credit card numbers and other personal and financial information.
None of the companies that use the technology, not reported about it in their policies confidentiality or any other document. Among these applications in the investigation - Expedia, Hotels.com, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Abercrombie & Fitch, and others.
It was found that, in particular, Air Canada does not mask files with records quite thoroughly, sending them to mobile devices on their servers. Therefore, there is a possibility that they may be intercepted attackers.
Since none of the companies do not ask the user for permission to record their actions, we can assume that there are other applications that embed Glassbox technology. And it can be a program, not only for iOS, but for Android.
This is not the first time that the big companies are abusing their capabilities. For example, in March last year, researchers from Northeastern University in Boston found more than 9000 popular apps for Android, which can eavesdrop on users.
