GENETICS, BIOINFORMATICS, GENOMICS - a program for persons with higher education, including medical education, of any specialties, profiles and directions (trainees, graduate students, applicants, researchers, practicing doctors, pharmacists, health care specialists, etc.), introductory no tests.
The purpose of mastering the course is to develop knowledge and skills in students:
- in the field of fundamental and practical genetics, embryology, bioinformatics, genomics;
- methodological basis for modern medical, biological and biomedical research in the field of genetics and genomics;
- in the field of collecting experimental data and their processing, creating databases, analyzing big data necessary for scientific and scientific-practical work in the field of practical and fundamental medicine, medical genetics and human genetics, genetic certification and predictive medicine.
Admission requirements for the program — for high-quality mastery of the course, the student must have basic professional competencies:
1) must know:
- fundamentals of general biology at the undergraduate (specialty) level;
- fundamentals of higher mathematics and mathematical statistics;
2) must own:
- laboratory technology,
- standard software at the personal computer user level,
- means for searching information on the Internet.
Labor intensity of training – the course lasts 15 weeks, the total labor intensity is 418 academic hours (of which 266 classroom hours).
final examination – graduation project for the retraining program “Genetics, bioinformatics, genomics”.
Learning outcomes – upon completion of training, the student can carry out scientific and practical activities in medical and biological institutions.
