But there is good news - it is real to change your life. It won't happen overnight and it won't be as easy as ads or glossy magazines, but it's possible. The main thing is to take small and consistent steps towards the goal. Try starting with these six.
1. Get rid of unnecessary habits
When we want to change a life, we usually add new rituals to it. It seems to us that as soon as we start waking up at five in the morning and spending an hour on yoga, our life will magically change. However, for the most part, everything remains as it was before, because we do not manage to follow such a schedule for a long time. And this is absolutely normal. We all fail sometimes.
Try something different—get rid of the habits that are holding you back. And if you want, then complicate the task and replace them with ones that will move you forward. For example, reading a few chapters of a book before going to bed, instead of scrolling through the VKontakte feed, does not check work email after 5:00 pm, end the day with a short meditation or drink a glass of water every the time when I want to eat chocolate.
The point is to make the most of the habits that are already in your life, or carefully disassemble them, discard unnecessary ones and create useful ones.

2. Do something nice for yourself every week
Most of us are busy almost 24 hours a day. Unfortunately, due to such a load, there is practically no time left for oneself. But think about it: you spend hours trying to satisfy the needs of others, while forgetting about your own.
For the next six months, try to do at least one thing every week. for myself. Sign up for a massage, watch your favorite movie, drink a cup of coffee in silence - devote time to yourself without thinking about others. It does not have to be a serious occupation for several hours. The goal is to take a break and take at least a few minutes to yourself.
The only person who will always be with you is yourself. This means that only you are responsible for your emotional state. In addition, if you feel bad, you are unlikely to be able to effectively help others. Self-care is an opportunity to give the world a better version of yourself.

3. Write down your achievements before bed
Surely you have had days when you worked hard, but in the evening you still felt as if you had not done anything significant. In pursuit of big, ambitious goals, we often do not notice how much we have already achieved. We ignore completed tasks and lament that we didn’t get more done.
That is why it is important to regularly celebrate your achievements, even the smallest ones. Set aside a couple of minutes in the evening and write down what you managed to do during the day and what you are proud of. Perhaps you completed all the planned tasks, dealt with the conflict at work with dignity, or had a great time at a restaurant with friends.
It is better to write down your goals and achievements on paper. To do this, start several lists: goals for the next three months, goals for the week and victories for the day. So you can go back to past periods and monitor progress.
It is much easier to start with small steps than to move on to radical changes all at once. Small victories will give you confidence and fill you with energy, which will allow you to be on time much more.

4. Put everything in doubt
Learn not to take things for granted. Try to analyze any advice and information you receive. Yes, even these steps. Do they make sense to you? Will they help you on the way to your goal? Does it make sense to introduce them into your daily routine?
There is no universal set of rules for an ideal life. What suits one harms another. For example, a diet that worked for your friend may not work for your body at all. In the end, each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses, vital installations and features.
No one can be in your place and live your life. Be more critical of everything that happens around you and filter any information available to you.
5. Repeat three phrases every day
Accepting the fact that you need to change your life can be quite difficult. Even more difficult is to work through the emotions that get in the way of important changes. A simple exercise will help you do this.
Stand in front of a mirror and, addressing yourself by name, continue the following phrases:

The next time you encounter injustice, ask yourself, “What lesson can I get out of this?
You may not be able to find the answer right away. However, gradually, after analyzing the situation, you will understand how to get the best out of it. After all, it is important to be able to face difficulties head on. And this is much easier to do when we are open to any development of events.
Life is a very complex but rich thing. Rich in experience, love, memories and invaluable lessons. Rich in failures, mistakes, disappointments and difficult tasks. Try to focus on the positive and take small steps towards the person you want to be. Your life won't get easier. But you will learn more steadfastly accept failure.
