1. Preparing the mind for work
- Together we solve simple algebra problems to warm up
2. Dealing with homework
- If there are still questions after homework, we sort them out at the beginning of the lesson
3. Learning a new topic
- The student masters new material on the topic of the lesson
4. Sharpening your skills
- We consolidate the theory on interesting algebra problems
5. Let's sum it up
- The student asks questions and gets homework
Let's show you how to fall in love with algebra
We will teach you how to apply knowledge in life, and train your skills on non-standard tasks.
Let's fill in the gaps
We will find painful and difficult topics for the student to discuss in class.
Let's get rid of embarrassment in class
The student will become more confident in his algebra preparation and will learn to answer at the board without fear.
Bachelor and Master of Moscow State Pedagogical University, Master of MIREA. Teaching experience - 10 years
My favorite book is Harry Potter, and I am Professor McGonagall in it. I’ll teach you how to bottle actions with numbers, how to cook a problem using a formula, and even how to seal the root of an equation. But as long as you ask questions and do your homework!
She has been teaching mathematics for 5 years. Shows the subject from a new side
My signature learning method is through association: the rule of inheritance for rounding numbers, the rule of friendship for numbers with different signs, and much more. In my free time I play chess and volleyball
She has been teaching mathematics for 2 years. Was a volunteer teacher in a charity project
I always try to find a common language with students and gain their trust, I am in touch 24/7. In my free time I study English and German, I like to read, mainly English classics
1. 7th grade
In an algebra course, 7th grade students will be able to review what they have previously learned and dive into new topics. Together with the teacher, they will figure out:
what are identities and how to transform identical expressions;
how to graph functions;
how to solve problems using linear equations;
how to multiply and divide powers correctly;
how to remember abbreviated multiplication formulas without memorizing;
what is a monomial and a polynomial;
how to add, subtract and multiply polynomials and monomials;
how to solve systems of linear equations and much more.
2. 8th grade
In individual algebra lessons, 8th grade students will expand their knowledge of fractions and learn to solve new types of problems with them. The tutor will help them remember how to reduce, subtract and add fractions. And new theory, materials and assignments will teach schoolchildren new operations with fractions: division and multiplication. After this, students will consolidate their new knowledge through examples in several actions and exciting homework.
Another topic that the teacher explains to schoolchildren in algebra classes is square roots. With its help, students will understand:
what is a square root?
how to calculate square root approximations;
how to convert expressions with square roots;
how to calculate the square root of a product, fraction and exponent and much more.
Students will also continue to study equations in online algebra classes. The teacher will help them understand the new topic and explain:
what are quadratic equations and how to calculate their roots;
why Vieta's theorem is needed;
how to solve problems using quadratic equations;
how to compare numbers and what inequalities are;
how to solve equations graphically;
how to solve systems of inequalities;
how to add and multiply numerical inequalities and much more.
3. 9th grade
During the lessons of the algebra course, 9th grade students will be able to review covered topics, study new ones and prepare for OGE tasks. During individual lessons, the teacher will teach them:
build graphs of linear-fractional, quadratic, power and other functions, as well as understand their properties;
use the interval method;
find roots of square trinomials;
solve irrational equations and inequalities;
solve problems involving arithmetic and geometric progression;
understand probability theory, solve problems related to it, etc.
4. Preparation for the Unified State Exam
In an algebra course for students in grades 10 and 11, students can improve the overall quality of their knowledge and prepare for the Unified State Exam. In the first lessons, they will analyze fractions and their properties, and also learn:
bring them to a common denominator;
convert improper fractions to mixed fractions;
compare different types of fractions;
add, subtract, multiply and divide common, decimal and mixed fractions;
solve examples and problems with fractions.
Afterwards, the teacher will help the students remember everything they have learned about inequalities and equations. In algebra classes, students will understand:
what are linear and quadratic equations, how can they be solved;
which equations are called exponential and fractional rational;
how to solve linear, quadratic, logarithmic inequalities, what is the interval method and much more.
One of the key topics in the high school education curriculum is trigonometry. With the help of the course materials and the teacher, teenagers will understand:
what are sine, cosine, tangent and cotangent;
how to write the basic trigonometric identity;
how to solve trigonometric equations and much more.
Another new topic in the high school algebra course will be logarithms. The teacher will help them understand what it is and what the basic logarithmic identity is for. After this, students will learn to convert expressions with logarithms, solve logarithmic equations, and much more.
