The program is for everyone who wants to try their hand at a new type of creative activity or improve their professional skills in working with ceramics. During their studies, students will master the basic skills of ceramics and will be able to develop as ceramic artists and designers.
The objectives of the program include initial training in drawing necessary to create a painting, understanding the professional aspects of working with color and texture, and the basics of working with sculptural form. The training provides knowledge of fashion trends in the development of ceramic art and shows the variety of uses of ceramics in interior and jewelry design.
The goal of the program is to teach students how to independently make modern art products from ceramics. They gain basic skills in working with different types of clay, and also learn a variety of techniques and materials of modern ceramic art. In the process, they develop creativity, learn to work boldly with form and design, and also see the world of forms through the eyes of modern artists and designers.
Much attention is paid to understanding the plastic structure of ceramics, the variety of color possibilities for decoration, and the compositional relationship of painting elements. The training includes a series of lectures that introduce students to the world of modern ceramics.
The program consists of well-structured master classes, which teach the skills of a ceramist (sculpting, painting, relief making, glazing, firing) alternates with art lessons devoted to a creative approach to form, drawing and blossom.
Throughout the program, ceramics will be considered in a variety of contexts, namely in the context of modern object and jewelry design (serving items, interior design and decoration made of ceramics), as decorative interior elements (bas-reliefs), as well as in the context of modern art (independent art objects from ceramics).
At the end of the program, students present a series of works in the chosen direction.
