There they quickly gained popularity, and over time they became known throughout the world. According to another version, among the ancestors of this breed are Spanish Bulldogs, which no longer exist.
Modern French Bulldogs are small dogs with expressive eyes. Their body is massive, with well-developed muscles. The head is rather large, with folds and wrinkles. The ears are small, with rounded edges. The coat of the "French" is smooth, straight, short and rather soft. The colors are different.

What conditions of detention are required for French Bulldogs
As soon as the dog appears in your house, give him his own place to rest and sleep. Moreover, it is better to put the stove bench where there are no drafts, and also away from batteries and doors.
In adulthood, dogs of this breed are not very active, but this does not mean that they do not need daily walks in the fresh air at all.
French Bulldogs do not tolerate cold weather very well. Therefore, when gathering for a walk in cold weather or bad weather, it is better to dress them in warm clothes for dogs. If the pet does not have a special costume, the duration of the promenade should be shortened so that the dog does not overcool.
In summer, you also need to be careful. You shouldn't go outside in sunshine and especially the midday heat, it is better to prefer early morning or late evening for going out.
As for the duration of walks, it is advisable for an adult dog to be outdoors a couple of times a day for an hour and a half. During this time, the dog will be able to throw out all the energy that it has accumulated. But too high a pace is not suitable for French Bulldogs, for example, on long runs, they quickly fizzle out. It is also worth excluding high jumps, due to which injuries may occur. It is also necessary to be careful when playing in parks or forests, so that the dog does not hurt his eyes on sharp branches.

How to feed French Bulldogs
The simplest solution is ready-made food, which contains all the nutrients and nutrients that a dog's body needs. You can choose an option, for example, from the lines of different brands, which are designed specifically for this breed. There are also separate rations for dogs with allergies and other health problems.
Another diet option is natural food, which must include meat (beef, rabbit meat, poultry, offal), boiled vegetables. Such diets must be well thought out and meet all the needs of the canine body.
Feeding regular human food to French Bulldogs, like other dogs, is not recommended. Spicy, salty, smoked, pickled and fatty foods are especially dangerous for dogs. Regardless of the diet, you cannot overfeed the dog. French Bulldogs are prone to obesity, and lack of exercise can make matters worse. If you suspect overweight, you should consult with your veterinarian and change your diet.
