Teaching – an introductory course devoted to issues in the field of education and teaching methods. The course consists of 5 thematic blocks dedicated to the topics of inclusive education, teaching methods, the status of a teacher and the issue of development of the education system. Lessons can be completed either in the order presented or in separate blocks at your discretion. The course collected materials from the lessons of our past speakers: Kamila Rolland, Asel Stambekova, representatives of the NOW educational center, Ayash Myrzabekova and Nurmukhammed Dosybaev.
Ayash Myrzabekova is a teacher-blogger, co-founder of the marketplace for teachers Teachers Lab, works at a school for children from rural regions, IQanat High School of Burabay.
Graduated from Pavlodar State University, Department of Foreign Philology. I completed my master's degree in pedagogy and psychology. Previously, Ayash taught at BIL schools in the city. Pavlodar and Shymkent. In addition to teaching, Ayash conducts trainings for teachers and is the author of the Instagram blog and Telegram channel “Proactive Educator” of the same name. In his blog, Ayash writes about modern teaching techniques and methods, shares book reviews and talks about the life of a teacher.
Camila Rolland is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, majoring in Education. Master of Science in Educational Management: Inclusive Education, Nazarbayev University.
In 2017 Kamila assisted UNICEF cognitive testing research, and in 2018-2019 she was a UNICEF national consultant on inclusive education and protection of children's rights. Also during these years, Kamila acted as an expert consultant for the Public Trust Fund in the Atyrau region. Since 2017 Member of the Americans with Disabilities Act community and graduate of the ADA Inclusive Education Fellowship. As part of the program, Kamila studied at the University of Minnesota with a degree in inclusive education and interned at school St. Anthony's Special Education Department and developed a project to raise awareness of inclusive education in St. Astana.
NOW Educational Center is an educational center, a school in the village of Tonkeris, Almaty region, built by Saltanat Nurieva with her own money in 2018. The goal and mission of the center is to give children from villages the opportunity to develop and be competitive on an equal basis with city children. The main contingent of teachers are students. At the center, children learn mathematics, English and German. This center is visited by children from eight nearby villages.
The speakers from NOW were the founder of the center, and also the coordinator of relations with public on the FBR (TCO) project - Saltanat Nurieva and two teachers of the center - Asema and Victoria.
Asel Stambekova is a teacher and aspiring researcher in the field of educational sciences, currently a student in the doctoral program “Teacher Education” at ELTE University in the city. Budapest, Hungary.
She has been teaching English and conducting online educational programs for young people and schoolchildren on leadership since 2010.
Researches the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education and the impact of ICT on teacher effectiveness. She presented her pilot research on this topic at international scientific conferences in Hungary, Germany and Kazakhstan in 2019.
Nurmukhammed Dosybaev is one of the current experts in the field of education with 11 years of experience in BIL. Taraz (formerly KTL), Dostyk educational center and Suleyman Demirel University.
Nurmuhammed is a graduate of the University of Cambridge (UK), and from December 2016 to October 2017 he served as deputy head of the circulation department of the city. Shymkent. As a deputy, Nurmuhammed supervised the educational and methodological work of 130 public schools in the city and 8 out-of-school educational institutions. Currently, he is the founder of the company Central Asian Garden Schools. The Central Asian Garden Schools projects include such schools as the senior and junior schools of Astana Garden School and the school-lyceum #54 in the city of Astana.
