The included material reveals the specifics of both pan-European processes in the development of spatial arts, and features within national movements. Against the background of dominant France and its artistic life, the peculiarities of the art of Spain, Germany, and England appear. The leading theme in the art of this time is the search for style - namely the dynamics of stylistic transformations from neoclassicism, romanticism towards realism and further multi-style searches of the last third of the century were devoted Special attention. Analysis and periodization of art includes material from the works of F. Goya and J.-L. David, French, English and German romantics to the symbolists and artists of the Art Nouveau era, from the revolutionary decisions of G. Courbet, E. Manet to the discoveries of plein air by C. Manet and his followers.
Russian art of the 19th century: architecture, sculpture, painting
Particular attention is paid to changes in the style of art, starting from the period of Alexander's reign. In relation to architecture, an idea of the Russian Empire style and the problems of eclecticism is given using examples of development and urban planning solutions in the space of both capitals. As for sculpture, we are talking about the development of academicism and the modification of the plot and thematic repertoire of plastic arts. When considering painting and graphics, transformations of the genre system and typology of works are described in relation to Russian realities and in connection with individual chronological periods indicated inside centuries.
