Professional biography:
Irina Troitskaya is a freelance illustrator and co-founder of Illustrators Union. She practiced her skills at the Udmurt State University, Faculty of Arts in Izhevsk, Russia. Later she entered the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, England and got her Master's in Illustration. Now she works as a freelance illustrator and a tutor of Illustration course of British Higher school of Art and Design, Moscow, Russia.
Started to work professionally in the field of illustration in 2003, Irina mostly deals with editorials, advertising and book publishing. She has been commissioned by Elle, Hewlett-Packard, Alfa-Capital, Yandex, Leo Burnett and BMW – to name but a few. Her art works are in private collections in Russia, Europe, China, Argentina, USA and the United Kingdom.
Among Irina’s other interests there are contemporary practices within children’s book illustration, reexamination of cultural roots and application of traditional Russian arts and crafts to nowadays, modern visual language and its influence onto the ways of perception of reality and much more.

Block 1. History and context
Introduction to fashion as an industry. You will learn its structure, study the history of fashion and fashion photography, learn to analyze and predict trends, gain the basic artistic skills of working with color and proportions necessary to create images
Block 2. Styling
Theory and practice of fashion shooting. You will get acquainted with different types of filming, their specifics, the features of a stylist working with a brand, celebrity, commercial projects and magazine shoots. You will learn to develop visual concepts for filming, create mood boards and style boards, and master basic stylistic techniques.
Block 3. Image making
Working with personal clients. You will learn to analyze and visually correct various body types, conduct a professional wardrobe analysis, and create shopping lists based on client requests.
