Ugreen introduced a compact and very powerful 300W GaN charger

The Chinese company Ugreen, known for its accessories, announced 300W charger. It has a very compact size for such power and five ports at once.

The adapter has four USB-C and one USB-A. Moreover, one of the USB-C can provide up to 140 W of power even when connecting five devices at the same time.

These 140 W with the PowerDelivery 3.1 specification are enough to quickly charge a modern 16-inch Macbook Pro when using an Apple MagSafe 3 to USB-C cable. And yes, at the same time it will be possible to connect a couple more iPhone or iPad.

When fully seated, the other three USB-C ports deliver up to 65W, 45W, and 20W, respectively, while the fourth USB-A provides another 22.5W. But if fewer devices are connected, then some of these connectors can provide more power. So, the second and third USB-C can deliver up to 100 watts, and the fourth - up to 45 watts.

Under such a load, the question of heating arises, but the company says that problems with this are excluded. The adapter uses energy-efficient gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors and has a built-in temperature control system that takes measurements every half second.

The accessory was estimated at a considerable $269 (≈24,400 rubles). The charger will go on sale in mid-August.
