Human multi-handed: Japan has developed a backpack with six robotic arms

It remains to think of what they all could do.
Engineers and designers from the University of Tokyo (Japan) developed a backpack that can attach up to six robotic arms. The device is called Jizai Arms.
It is worn on the back or attached to the torso of a person with the help of belts. The system has a modular design with six ports. All of them are installed in different planes so that the limbs installed in them do not interfere with each other. The brushes are also removable and, if necessary, they can be replaced with other types of grips.
However, regularly using such a device, with all its enticing benefits, can still be literally difficult. The main unit weighs 4.1 kilograms, and if you add four arms to it, 14 kilograms.
To control robotic arms, scientists have developed a special program on a PC, as well as a controller that looks like a smaller copy of the main unit with limbs already installed. It can be used by both users and third-party operators.
The authors note that so far such a control system is far from perfect. It is quite difficult to manage several hands at the same time and for this they have to use several operators at once. But earlier, other Japanese engineers confirmedthat people can do this with neural interfaces. So we can assume that this is a solvable problem.
