Bill Gates predicts: already in 2024, neural networks will teach children to write

A little later, AI will replace math tutors.
Soon, artificial intelligence will be able to become a teacher for children and help improve their grades in the next 18 months - at least according to Bill Gates. Such a prediction did during the opening speech at the ASU+GSV summit in San Diego.
Chatbots like ChatGPT and Google Bard have grown rapidly in recent months and can now perform some basic human-level tasks. Modern chatbots have developed amazing reading and writing abilities that will soon allow them to educate people.
In the next 18 months, artificial intelligence will come to the aid of teachers and will be able to give students feedback on written assignments. After that they will be able to help us in mathematics.

It may seem strange to some that AI will excel at writing in natural language faster than at mathematics - after all, the development of AI technologies themselves uses algebra and mathematical analysis. But chatbots trained on large datasets often have math problems.
A chatbot can help if the data set it was trained on already had an equation that the user gave it. If he has not yet come across such an example, then errors come out even in simple calculations like multiplying numbers.
Gates said he asked Microsoft developers why bots are worse at math than calculators. It turned out that for complex mathematical calculations, AI needs to refine its reasoning abilities. It will take some time, but in 2 years the technology can improve significantly.
Such technologies could make tutoring accessible to students who cannot afford face-to-face tutoring. The chatbot will be able to adapt to the level of knowledge and typical mistakes of the student, remember each lesson and the solved example.
At the same time, there is no talk of completely free education. Both ChatGPT and Bing now offer free trials, but OpenAI has already rolled out the $20/month ChatGPT Plus plan. Without it, you won't be able to use the new ChatGPT 4 model. Bing is also likely to get paid features over time.
