WhatsApp for Android will allow you to edit contacts directly in the application
Miscellaneous / / April 10, 2023
Enthusiasts from WABetaInfo discovered in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android a new feature. This is an opportunity to add or edit a contact directly in the messenger without going to the standard Contacts application. The iPhone has had this feature for a long time.
Some users of messenger beta builds have noticed the New Contact interface. This option allows you to save the username and phone number to the messenger and smartphone. You don't have to save the contact locally, you can sync it with your Google account.
WhatsApp also allows you to edit existing contacts - for example, add email and birthdays.
The function appears in users of beta builds 2.23.8.2, 2.23.8.4, 2.23.8.5 and 2.23.8.6, it should soon be rolled out to the stable version of the messenger.
Previously became knownthat WhatsApp for Android is getting ready to be redesigned in the style of an iPhone app.
