Thing of the day: NANU Arc - a modern analog alarm clock

An interesting new project has appeared on Kicksterter: the NANU Arc analog alarm clock, which combines the simplicity of a classic watch with modern technology.

The device is positioned as a way to get rid of the smartphone in bed: it simply wakes you up without apps, notifications, additional features and an addictive screen. Thanks to this, there will be no temptation to scroll through social networks before going to bed or check email in the morning.

That being said, many modern alarm clocks also rely too heavily on technology and apps. Therefore, the creators of NANU Arc turned to classic models and redesigned them in a modern way.

The result is a device with a mechanical dial, which is contrast enough to watch the time from afar. And the arrows are metal, so they will last longer.

Also in the dial there is a small digital display that displays only the wake-up time. Unlike analog options, it is easy to adjust to the minute - using the knob to the right of the dial.

Instead of loud, harsh melodies, Arc wakes you up with a rising acoustic sound that combines optimal tempo and a frequency of 494 Hz. Countsthat this is the best way to wake up a person without causing anxiety.

NANU Arc already dialed on Kickstarter the amount needed to start the project. The device will go on sale in January next year, but you can pre-order it now. At the stage of crowdfunding, there is a reduced price of $191 (≈15,300 rubles), the full retail price is $225 (≈18,000 rubles).
