He also knows how to assess the condition of the vessels.
Asus has announced a new smart bracelet for the Chinese market - VivoWatch 5 Aero. Its main features are a medical grade ECG sensor and a dual-channel photoplethysmgraphic sensor on the screen. This is the first time this has been used in bracelets.
Unlike conventional sensors that read data from the hand under the bracelet, this type needs to be applied with a fingertip. This design allows for more accurate measurement of heart rate, stress levels, sleep quality and other indicators of health and fitness. The bracelet even knows how to measure the pulse wave index, which is used to assess the state of blood vessels. To monitor blood oxygen levels in the background, there is a regular SpO2 on the back of the device.
Like any other fitness bracelet, the novelty can track physical activity, including running speed, distance traveled and pace. Several sports modes are available, including swimming, yoga, jogging and walking. The screen here is a 0.96-inch OLED.
The bracelet will be able to work for 3 days without recharging (up to a week in energy-saving mode), it weighs only 30 g. He received a moisture protection of 5 ATM, so you can swim and dive to a shallow depth with it. The charger is magnetic.
Asus VivoWatch 5 Aero is already on sale in China for 840 yuan (≈7,700 rubles). The release of the international version has not yet been announced.
