Asus announced the release date of Android 13 on Zenfone and ROG smartphones
Miscellaneous / / April 05, 2023
The list of devices is small, but the distribution of updates will begin this year.
Asus, like other mobile device manufacturers, is preparing to upgrade its smartphones to Android 13. Most recently, the manufacturer told which models will receive the latest firmware first.
The company first plans to update the Zenfone 9 in December 2022. Then, in January 2023, Android 13 will start arriving on the Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip.
With the company's gaming flagships, the timeline is more blurred: ROG Phone 6, 6 Pro and 6D - the first quarter of 2023 (January-March), ROG Phone 5 and 5s - the second quarter (April-June).
The Zenfone 7 line and earlier models, apparently, may no longer receive the update. Although Asus has not officially confirmed this.
