Huawei introduced an "affordable" clamshell Pocket S

Huawei has announced a new foldable smartphone Pocket S. This is a slightly simplified version of the P50 Pocket model, submitted at the end of 2021.

The manufacturer equipped Pocket S with a more energy-efficient Snapdragon 778G 4G chip, which can be classified as a sub-flagship solution. It is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal memory.

Also in the novelty, the manufacturer abandoned one of the P50 Pocket cameras - monochrome. As a result, the device can offer two modules: a 40 MP main one with an RYYB sensor and a 13 MP wide-angle one. A 10.7-megapixel selfie sensor is installed in the display hole.

The screen remains the same - 6.9 ″, OLED, 2790 × 1188 pixels and 120 Hz. On the lid there is a small 1 inch round display with customizable interfaces. Battery – 4,000 mAh with 40W charging.

The device also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and has a fingerprint scanner in the power button.

The price of Pocket S starts at 5,988 yuan (≈51,000 rubles). For comparison, P50 Pocket on release could be bought for 8,988 yuan (≈77,000 rubles).
