Declassified new sedan "Moskvich-6"

At the Moskvich plant, a new model was presented - the Moskvich-6 C-class sedan. Its production and sales are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2023. About it informed Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.

The new Moskvich is built on the basis of the Chinese car Sehol A5, which, in turn, is a restyled version of the JAC J7.

Specifications have not yet been disclosed, but it can be assumed that it will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 184 hp. and a 6-speed "robot", like the JAC Sehol A5 Plus.

The length of the car is 4.78 meters, the width is 1.83 meters, the height is 1.49 meters. The cabin has a 10.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 360-degree camera. The price and equipment has not yet been specified.

The plant expects that the Moskvich-6 will become as popular as the Moskvich-3 crossover. The plant has already assembled 7,000 three-ruble notes, and it is planned to produce 50,000 by the end of the year. The circulation is expected to double next year.

As expected, many "Moskvich-3" will be sent to taxi services. The plant entered into agreements with Yandex Taxi for the supply of 5,000 crossovers, including 2,000 with an electric motor.

Now the plant is developing a universal platform for a Russian electric car. In the future, it is planned to reduce dependence on Chinese suppliers and produce cars from their own components.
