Why success is 80% action and 20% knowledge and how to use this formula in life

Become a practitioner who can think clearly.
The trajectory of our lives is changed by actions, not thoughts. Of course, how we think affects what we do. However, to truly change your life and get closer to your dreams, you need to start taking action. The ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle rightly noticedAristotle. Nicomachean ethics: "For [if] something is to be done by being trained, [then] we learn by doing it."
The only way to bridge the gap between where you are now and what you want for yourself in the future is to consistently do the right thing. This requires acumen, a willingness to make sacrifices, and the ability to take responsibility. No one can force us to do more, only ourselves.
How the formula for success works
The most successful people are committed practitioners. They learn and act at the same time. Celebrity entrepreneur Warren Buffett reads a lot. Also, it invests a lot of money. He maintains a balance between thoughts and actions. He has his own habits and rituals in order to develop his business and increase personal income. He puts his knowledge into practice, even when it's not too convenient.
Successful practitioners are open to learning by doing. They learn best from experience and change their minds without hesitation when they find convincing evidence and new information through experience.
James Clear
Passive learning is not a form of practice because although we gain knowledge, we do not learn how to use it. Active practice, on the other hand, is one of the best forms of learning because the mistakes we make give us new information.
You can read 200 useful books in a year and think about how much knowledge you have accumulated in just 12 months. However, if you don't take the time to put your knowledge into practice, it won't change your life. Therefore, it is worth remembering a simple formula for success: 80% action plus 20% knowledge.
In his book How to Get What You Want with the Power of Thought, Thomas Sterner notes that any worthwhile achievement in life takes practice. Even life itself is nothing but a long practice, an endless attempt to perfect one's own actions. When we understand all the subtleties of practice, the process of learning new things causes only joy and peace.
How to use it in life
- Say yes more often to opportunities, habits, and behaviors that guarantee real progress and a much better life. Create more. Do more sports. Read more books. Learn more. Strive to be the best version of yourself every day.
- Put your knowledge into practice. Learn from experience and repeat techniques that work. So in your piggy bank there will be more victories.
- Practice every day. Most people develop their skills too slowly because their experience rate is too low. If you want to hone your writing skills, write every day.
- If you're trying to improve your health, finances, relationships, or career, find the top 20% of the things you do best and repeat them.
- Don't look for shortcuts to progress - there aren't any. But you can honestly overcome all obstacles and move forward.
- Remember the simple chain: actions generate results, and results generate even more effective actions. Repeat these steps and nothing can stop you.
- Learn to find joy in accomplishments, not in improving your thought process. No matter how slowly you move, it's always nice to remind yourself that you're working hard for a future version of yourself.
- Spend 80% of your time on important tasks. The results you want will begin when you give yourself permission to act.
