HBO has begun work on the second season of "House of the Dragon"

Recently it became known that the first episode of "House of the Dragon", the prequel to "Game of Thrones", will come out already August 21st. The filming of the season has already ended and the project has moved into the post-production stage, but the team is already focused on the continuation.

And this is not surprising, given that such news is usually announced closer to the premiere or final of popular TV shows.

The filming of the first season took about a year, so even if the second season starts filming as early as 2022, a release in late 2023 is the most optimistic forecast. The start of 2024 sounds more realistic, provided the seasons have similar timings.
