Hubble showed a photo of a distant galaxy

It is rich in supernovae.
NASA published A breathtaking image of NCG 1097, a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Furnace, 48 million light-years from Earth.
It is notable for the fact that over the past 30 years, three supernovae have been observed in it at once - a bright phenomenon that marks the end of a star's life. They were named according to the years of observation: SN 1992bd, SN 1999eu and SN 2003B.
The image was obtained by combining data from two cameras of the Hubble station, which were sent to one point. Scientists used a non-obvious but effective method of "painting" black and white images: color filters.
Telescope cameras are sensitive to a wide range of wavelengths, which allows them to collect maximum light - but the image is black and white. Special filters allow you to get data about specific colors. For example, a 555 nm wavelength filter only captures green tones. There were 7 such filters in total. After all the received data was combined to create one color image.
