The two stock apps will get dark theme support and new settings.
Microsoft told about the major February update of Windows 11. One of the main improvements in it will be a "public preview" subsystem for running Android applications.
The launch of Android programs on Windows 11 began to be tested back in October, and their circle was very limited - the Amazon Appstore offered only about 50 games and programs. They worked far from perfect, including on very powerful PCs. Perhaps with the February update the situation will change.
Also with the upcoming update in Windows 11, the taskbar will be improved. It will appear on / off the sound buttons and the weather widget. In addition, the ability to display the clock on additional monitors should be added.
Among the standard applications, Notepad and Windows Media Player will be updated. Both will get dark theme support and interface tweaks that are more in line with the style of Windows 11.
Finally, Microsoft noted that the February update will make screen sharing easier in Microsoft Teams and other video calling apps. When you hover your mouse over such programs, a new tab will appear on the taskbar, which will allow you to quickly share the contents of the window during a call.
The exact timing of the start of the distribution of the update has not yet been announced, but it is likely that the start will take place in the next few weeks.
