Metacritic has published a preliminary ranking of the best films of 2021

The first place so far for the new drama with Benedict Cumberbatch.
Following the preliminary rating of the best TV series of the year, review aggregator Metacritic has compiled a similar list of films. It is also formed based on the ratings of leading publications: TIME, The New York Times, Variety, IndieWire, Vanity Fair, Esquire and others.
For the first place in any of the lists, the picture was awarded 3 points, for the second - 2 points, for positions from 3 to 10 - 1 point, and for getting into the top 20 - 0.5 points. According to the sum, the Metacritic rating was compiled, which included 11 films.
On the first line is the drama "The Power of the Dog" with Benedict Cumberbatch. Followed by the Japanese painting "Get behind the wheel of my car" and a documentary story about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival.

Now this is a preliminary list, which will be supplemented until January 2022 when new ratings appear from authoritative publications.
Previously, the U.S. Council of Film Critics also chose best films of 2021. The main award went to Licorice Pizza by Paul Thomas Anderson (Oil, Phantom Thread).
