The Unicode Consortium has published a list of the world's most popular emojis for 2021. The first place and the title of the most frequently used smile was on the face with tears of joy - 😂. It accounts for over 5% of all emojis sent. Next comes the heart, ❤️.

3. 🤣 - rolling on the floor laughing;
4. 👍 - thumb up;
5. 😭 - a sobbing face;
6. 🙏 - folded hands;
7. 😘 - air kiss;
8. 🥰 - smiling face with hearts;
9. 😍 - face in love;
10. 😊 - smiling face with smiling eyes.

This collection of mostly positive emotions may sound familiar - not much different from the last publication of such a ranking in 2019. Then the top was as follows: 😂, ❤️, 😍, 🤣, 😊, 🙏, 💕, 😭, 😘, 👍.
