The introduction of QR codes was postponed in St. Petersburg

The changes were supposed to take effect next week.
In October, the authorities of St. Petersburg announced on the introduction of QR codes to visit. The new rules were supposed to come into force on December 1, but Governor Alexander Beglov signed decree, according to which the requirement for QR codes will come into effect on December 27 - and with it several additional security measures.
- From December 27, to visit cafes, restaurants and shops that are not essential, you will need to present a valid QR code on completed vaccination or previous illness.
- Citizens who have a medical withdrawal from vaccination, in order to access the above institutions, will have to present a negative PCR test, submitted no earlier than 72 hours before presentation.
- From December 27, to check in at the hotel, you will need to present a QR code or a negative PCR test, passed no earlier than 72 hours before check-in. Citizens who check into a hotel based on a negative PCR test will need to present new test results every 72 hours. They will be able to eat in hotel restaurants without a QR code.
All restrictions in the city are extended until January 31, and the executive bodies of St. Petersburg have received additional restrictions for the period from December 27 to January 9, related to entertainment and leisure establishments, catering, retail, theaters, circuses, concert halls, cinemas, museums and exhibitions.
