Microsoft Office for iOS learned how to download PDF
Miscellaneous / / November 18, 2021
Microsoft has released a new version of the universal Office app for iOS. The only change in version 2.55 is the ability to download PDF files to the device memory so that they can be opened offline. No bug fixes or performance improvements reported.
To get the new function, you need to update the application to the latest version 2.55. Interestingly, Microsoft has decided to end support for iOS and iPadOS 13: the update requires iOS or iPadOS 14.
Office 2.55 Beta Insiders also tested the ability to add bookmarks to PDFs so they can quickly find the right place in the document, and PowerPoint on iPad now has a view of all slides in the sidebar, as in PC version. It is not yet clear when these features will appear in the public release.
