WhatsApp has learned to mute calls from unknown numbers

whatsapp added new feature in the messenger: mute the sound for unknown numbers. It is designed to help fight telephone spam and fraud.

If you enable this feature, a call from an unknown number will go through, but the user will not hear it. In this case, the information about the call will be displayed in the missed list in the application so that you can call back if necessary.

Also in the messenger there was a function "Checking confidentiality". In fact, it is a tool for setting the privacy of chats, calls and personal information. At each point, the user will be able to clearly understand what this or that security function does, and choose the level of protection that suits him. There is a new section in the "Privacy" settings menu.

Both of these features are already available in the stable version of the messenger. If you haven't got them yet, you need to update the application or wait a bit: distribution can be gradual.
