November 19 will be a shadow eclipse of the moon
Miscellaneous / / November 18, 2021
Residents of Moscow and Central Russia were out of luck.
Tomorrow, November 19, will be observed partial shadow eclipse of the moon. The satellite will be on the same line with the Earth and the Sun and, almost completely disappearing into the shadows, will acquire a reddish tint - a phenomenon that occurs every six months.
The eclipse will begin at 10:20 am Moscow time, peak by 12:04 pm (97% of the lunar disk will plunge into the shadow) and end at 13:48. Due to unfavorable observation conditions, only residents of the Far Eastern regions will be able to see it in full, where it will be early evening at this time. In Moscow and other cities of Central Russia, it will not be visible at all, since the Moon at this time will be under the horizon.
The largest phase of the eclipse, which will be almost complete, can be observed in the Trans-Baikal regions, and the end of the eclipse - in central, eastern and northern Siberia.
This is not the last eclipse this year: December 4th expected total solar eclipse in the Antarctic region.
