"2GIS" received an updated navigator

Team "2GIS" showed a new version of the car navigator with a redesigned design and a new parking layer. The latter allows you to find a suitable parking spot near the end of the route - indicating whether it is paid or free, general or for people with disabilities.

Another important innovation, the creators of the service call the mini-map in the lower corner of the screen, inspired by games like GTA. If the main screen displays the nearest hundreds of meters, the mini-map shows the direction of movement and traffic congestion within a radius of several kilometers. By clicking on it, you can switch to the overview mode of the entire route.

Due to the abandonment of the usual frames at the top and bottom, the screen now fits 20% more of the map. We also updated the data on road markings and dividing roads into lanes, and made the interface elements more contrasting so that the eye quickly finds the necessary information on the screen, whether it is a speed limit or the nearest turns.

New cards are already being used by Citymobil. They will make life easier for both passengers and drivers: it will be possible to indicate the number of not only the house, but also the apartment, and then the navigator itself will determine the entrance and build a route to it, warning the driver about possible barriers and cameras. If during the trip the passenger decides to change the destination, the route will change automatically so that the driver is not distracted from the road.

The updated 2GIS is still in beta testing, but everyone can take part in it. To do this, you need to update the application to the current version, open the settings and go to the "Navigator" section. A banner "Navigator just got better!" Will appear at the top. - click on it and move the switch next to "Enable new navigator" in the active position.
