Video: remaster of GTA Vice City with ray tracing
Miscellaneous / / August 01, 2021
A video of an amateur remaster of GTA: Vice City has appeared on the YouTube channel GameSource. The author ported the game to the GTA V engine in 4K resolution and added ray-traced graphic mods. All these improvements made the game look very different.
Recording gameplay required a lot of computing power - a PC with a Ryzen 7 5800X processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card and 32 GB of RAM. In the comments, YouTube users praised the result, noting that they were looking forward to something similar from Rockstar Games.
Recall that recently the famous blogger Tom Henderson confirmed return of Vice City locations in GTA 6. Familiar Miami-themed landscapes will appear in the new part of the cult franchise in a more modern form, as the game will take place today. It is worth waiting for GTA 6 no earlier than 2024.
This is not the first attempt by enthusiasts to show what Vice City could look like with modern graphics. Several similar videos were released in january and December last year.
