Rumors about Apple's development of its own processors have already appeared on the Web, but this time they were confirmed by the more than well-known analyst Min-Chi Kuo, who rarely makes mistakes in his predictions. In his opinion, the first devices with such chips will be the MacBook Pro 13.3 and the iMac. About it writes MacRumors.
It is reported that Apple is going to completely replace Intel processors with its own ARM chips. Debut devices with them will be presented in late 2020 or early 2021. The new MacBook Pro 13.3 will be similar to the current model, and the iMac is credited with a completely new form factor and 24-inch screen.
Kuo also noted that an unknown MacBook model with a "completely new design" and an ARM chip will go to the mainstream production in the second half of 2021, while another MacBook model with a mini-LED display will appear in the first half of the year.
Apple may announce the transition to the ARM platform at the conference WWDC 2020, which starts on June 22 at 20:00 Moscow time.
