Xiaomi introduced Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro

Xiaomi, as part of an online presentation, announced the potential bestseller Redmi Note 9 and the updated Redmi Note 9 Pro, which is somewhat different from submitted earlier version of the smartphone for the Asian market.

The international version of this device is based on the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. She received a 6.67-inch IPS-display with FHD + resolution and a hole for the front camera in the center. The body has a metal frame and is covered with Gorilla Glass 5. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side of the power button.

Inside it has a Snapdragon 720G processor, complemented by 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. The battery capacity is 5,020 mAh, there is support for fast charging at 30 W via the USB Type-C port (50% in 30 minutes). A matching adapter is included as standard.

The manufacturer named the cameras as the main feature of the device. The main one includes sensors at 64, 8 (119 °), 5 (macro) and 2 Mp (depth of field). There is support for 4K video recording, the ability to shoot in RAW format and Pro mode with a lot of manual settings. For selfies, a 16 megapixel sensor is designed in front.

To the delight of all fans of the brand, the smartphone received an NFC chip for contactless payment. In addition, the manufacturer has highlighted a new vibration motor, a 3.5mm headphone port and an IR transmitter.

The price of Redmi Note 9 Pro in the 6/64 GB version was $ 269 (≈19,900 rubles).

The usual Redmi Note 9 outwardly turned out to be very similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro, but there are at least two important differences - the body of the novelty is made of plastic, and a familiar fingerprint scanner is located under the camera module fingers. On the front, the smartphone can be distinguished by the opening of the front camera shifted to the left corner of the screen.

The display of the Redmi Note 9 has an IPS-matrix with a diagonal of 6.53 inches and a Full HD + resolution. Responsible for performance is the MediaTek Helio G85 processor with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory. A microSD card slot is present.

The main camera includes 48, 8, 2 and 2 megapixel sensors. There is electronic image stabilization, macro mode and shooting with a wide capture angle (118 °). The front camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels.

The battery has a capacity of 5,020 mAh and supports 18W fast charging via the USB-C port. Included is a 22.5W power adapter. Among others: an IR transmitter for controlling household appliances and a 3.5 mm jack for wired headphones. NFC is also announced, but only for some markets. Whether it will be in the version for Russia is still unknown.

The price of Redmi Note 9 in the 3 + 64 GB version was $ 199 (≈14,700 rubles).

Besides these two smartphones Xiaomi today showed inexpensive Mi Note 10 Lite with 5G.
