Astro Slide - 5G smartphone with QWERTY keyboard

Planet Computers has presented its new product - an unusual Astro Slide smartphone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The creators claim that this is the fastest 5G smartphone at the moment.

When closed, the smartphone does not stand out, but thanks to the rock up slider hinge, the owner can slide out the keyboard, turning the phone into a pocket computer.

Astro Slide claims a 6.5-inch display with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The configuration includes 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, and the heart of the device is the Mediatek 1000L processor - one of the most powerful in its segment according to AnTuTu.

Astro Slide also features Wi-Fi 6 and eSIM support, an NFC contactless payment module, a microSD card slot and a dual nanoSIM tray.

Planet Computers did not copy the current trends and added one 48MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera to the smartphone.

The smartphone keyboard is backlit for comfortable work at night or in dark rooms without the need for external lighting.

The device runs on Android 10, however it is dual boot and Linux support. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh, there is support for fast and wireless charging.

Large enough to be the only device you need to carry with you and small enough to fit in your pocket. It is a real replacement for your mobile phone and laptop.

The company began raising funds for the development of Asto Slide through a crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. There are still 39 days until the end of the campaign, but the creators of the unusual device have already collected more than 500 thousand euros out of the required 180 thousand. Asto Slide can be ordered at a price of 42,000 rubles.
