Half-Life: Alyx released on Steam

The highly anticipated VR game Half-Life: Alyx is now available on Steam around the world. The action takes place between the first and second games of the series, and the main character is Alix Vance, Gordon Freeman's companion in Half-Life 2.

Valve did not publish a release trailer, but the company has previously posted there are three videos with gameplay on the Web, and already now the entire YouTube is filled with walkthroughs and streams: along with the official release, the embargo for bloggers has also subsided.

To play, you need a compatible helmet (Valve Index, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, Oculus Rift or Oculus Quest) and a powerful enough computer: Core i5-7500 / Ryzen 5 1600 processor or better, GTX 1060 / RX 580 graphics card with 6 GB VRAM or more, and at least 12 GB of RAM memory. The only supported OS is Windows 10.
