How to quickly peel boiled potatoes
Miscellaneous / / October 19, 2023
You just need to do a few things before cooking it.
Peeling an entire pot of boiled potatoes is tedious and time-consuming. So this life hack will make your life easier. Especially on holidays when you need to peel a lot of vegetables for salads.
So let's get started. Before cooking, run a sharp knife in the center of each raw root vegetable, cutting across it literally 2-3 millimeters.
Then boil the potatoes in their jackets until ready. This will take about half an hour - depending on the size and age of the tubers.
Transfer them to another pan and cover with cold water - they should cool. You will clearly see a cut in the middle, and on some vegetables the skin may begin to peel off even without outside help.
When the potatoes are cool enough, take one in your hands and pull part of the skin up. Remove the second part of the skin in the same way. If the potatoes are well cooked, then you will be able to do this without effort.
This simple method allows you to not only peel vegetables in just seconds, but also leave them smooth and beautiful.
