During the presentation iPhone 11 Apple has demonstrated the ability to shoot in parallel with two cameras. So far, the function is still not available in the standard camera application, but third-party programs are saving. Now the App Store has a new DoubleTake app that adds this feature - and to older models, starting with the iPhone XR and newer.
There are three modes available: split screen, picture-in-picture and simultaneous shooting on the front and main cameras with saving video in separate files (suitable for more serious processing). In picture-in-picture mode, you can switch the camera and move the small window across the screen while shooting. In all three cases, shooting is possible only at 1080p.
If you do not have an iPhone XR, then the first thing the program will show is what each of the cameras is currently capturing, and will offer you to choose which two you want to record. The XR has only two cameras, so the owners of this model have no alternatives.
