Tip of the day: change your tap water filter
Tips / / January 02, 2021
Today, many of us have a flow filter under our sinks that makes our tap water safe to drink. Modern filters easily deal with rust, remove chlorine and all common toxins and allergens, while preserving the mineral composition of the original water. However, any cleaning system has a resource, and you shouldn't forget about it.
The resource varies depending on the hardness of the water, the filter design, and the number and type of replacement cartridges. For good and expensive filters, it usually amounts to 8-10 thousand liters, that is, it is 8-10 cubic meters of water. This supply may be sufficient for a couple of years. However, for cheap cleaning systems, the resource rarely exceeds 4 thousand liters, and it is recommended to change their cartridges every six months or a year.
When was the last time you changed the filter or cartridges in your water purifier? Do you know what resource they are intended for? Check it out on the manufacturer's website. Perhaps your filter has not been doing its job for a long time, and you are drinking untreated tap water.
