Russia will increase the fee for issuing a new type of international passport

State Duma accepted The bill with amendments to the Tax Code is in third reading. Among the changes is an increase in the fee for issuing a new generation international passport by 20%: from 5,000 to 6,000 rubles for citizens over 14 years of age and from 2,500 to 3,000 rubles for children.

The changes will also affect foreigners who live in Russia or want to come to the country. The fee for issuing a residence permit will increase from 5,000 to 6,000 rubles, for registration of a foreigner under place of residence - from 350 to 420 rubles, for issuing a temporary residence permit - from 1,600 to 1,920 rubles

In addition, obtaining permits to attract and use foreign workers will rise in price from 10,000 rubles per person to 12,000 rubles, and issuing work permits - from 3,500 to 4,200 rubles. The fee for issuing an invitation to enter the country to a foreigner will be 960 rubles instead of 800 rubles.

On January 1, 2023, the government canceled the 30% discount when paying state fees through Gosuslugi - it allowed you to issue a foreign passport for 10 years for 3,500 rubles instead of the usual 5,000 rubles.

The changes will take effect on July 1, 2024.
