Teriyaki Chicken is a simple and hearty Japanese dish that goes well with a side dish of rice. Try it!
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
Chop a piece of ginger 1.5–2 cm long. Pass the garlic through a press.
Fresh ginger can be replaced with dry ginger. ¹⁄₂ – 1 teaspoon will suffice.
Combine soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch.
You can use wine vinegar instead of rice.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken for 10 minutes, stir constantly.
Add sauce, reduce heat and cook until sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
