Universal buns for burgers and hot dogs

For all those who are not afraid of fiddling with flour and yeast, a simple recipe for burgers and hot dogs that will turn out to be much tastier than purchased ones.

Ingredients
- Potatoes 3 pieces
- Flour 750 g
- Dry yeast 4 g
- Sugar 100 g
- Salt 1 tbsp the spoon
- Warm water 320 ml
- Eggs 2 pieces
- Honey 60 ml
- Butter 113 g + for lubrication
- Egg yolk 1 piece

Boil the potatoes, then puree or grate them.
How and how much to cook potatoes

Having carefully sifted the flour, combine it with yeast, sugar and salt.

Add warm (38–40 degrees) water or milk to dry ingredients, then send beaten eggs, honey, butter at room temperature and grated boiled potatoes.
The latter should not be hot, otherwise the high temperature can negatively affect the activity of the yeast.
Stir all the ingredients for a couple of minutes. The finished dough is sticky and soft.

We take a container of greater depth or diameter, grease its bottom and walls with vegetable oil, and then place the potato dough in it.

Cover the dishes with cling film and leave them warm for 2 hours or until they double in size. As a result, you get something like this:
Divide the matched dough into portions (120 and 140 grams for hot dogs and burgers, respectively) and shape. We leave the buns to come up a second time for another hour.
Lubricate their surface with whipped yolk and put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 12 minutes.

We take out the baking sheet, cover the homemade buns with a layer of melted butter and set to bake for another 12 minutes. Additionally, grease the products with oil after removing from the oven.
