Steve Jobs first showed Macintosh January 24, 1984 at a meeting of shareholders of Apple. But it was rather an internal presentation - the first public "show" a new computer from Apple took place a few days later. Jobs appeared before the members of the Boston Computer Society. Now for the first time it became available to one and half hours of recording performances.
Co-founder of VisiCalc, Dan Bricklin spoke about this statement: "You can see how Steve turned into the legendary Steve Jobs."
Initially, Steve repeated principal, "corporate" presentation, and then moved to an extended, the "public" version of his speech. He argues that personal computers are ready to change the world, as once did the phone:
We think that the Macintosh can be compared with the first phone. In addition to the fact that you can work with spreadsheets and word processors, it allows you to play sounds. It allows you to create an image, make charts and conveniently use them in your documents.
