"VKontakte" presented an application for calls

The new VKontakte Calls desktop application will make it possible to organize calls with the participation of up to 2,048 people at the same time without time limits. At the same time, through the PC version, you can communicate with users of the web version and mobile applications.

The important features of such calls are not only improved audio and video quality, but also the ability to share the screen in 4K. Also, users of desktop "VKontakte calls" will be able to customize AR-backgrounds and use the function of improved facial features. There is also intelligent noise reduction, which was previously only available in the mobile application.

To start a conversation, just click on the icon in the form of a telephone receiver on the user's page or in a dialogue with him, access via the link is also available. The Lounge feature allows call organizers to view requests for new members to join.

All functions of the application are provided free of charge, and in the future the limit on the number of participants is planned to be canceled altogether.
