If you are actively using your Mac / Macbook, you probably know that many of you use the programs after the installation in OS X creates its own cache files that are not simply stored, and over time begin to "grow" up to gigabytes. And if you've already removed the application, then the cache files remain. Sometimes the size of the unnecessary caching can be tens of gigabytes of disk space. Today we'll look at how to fix this unfortunate misunderstanding.
All the "garbage" that has accumulated on the disk for a long time use, you can simply remove. Open the Finder, click on the keyboard combination Command-Shift-G. The line appears, enter the path «~ / Library / Caches /» (but without the quotes). Click on Enter, - and in front of us, a list of files and folders that store the cache files for all applications that you have, or have been previously installed.
Press the combination Command-J - and put a "tick" beside the point "Calculate all sizes". Then you will see the size of all folders that contain cached files.
You do not need to manually delete the folder. But remember: if you do not know for sure what purpose is established or that folder, even if the cache files in it long crossed the mark of 10-20 gigabytes, it is better not to touch anything.
